“Aurora Night”, 2019, 6″ x 6″, stained glass, slate, lab grown bismuth, $200.00
“Charged particles from our sun excite atoms in the earth’s atmosphere which then move into a higher energy orbit away from their central nucleus. When the atoms slow and return to a lower energy orbit they release particles of light or photons, creating the beautiful light shows in our atmosphere that we call auroras.
We live in a challenging time. There is much to arouse, agitate and spin us away from our internal nucleus. The beauty of aurora light reminds me that whatever experience winds me up is an energy that can be used if I slow my spin and return to my center. Only then can I be a point of light and kindness.”
