This session should particularly benefit those who want to strengthen their drawing and composition skills and ultimately make better mosaics. Students will learn the basics of perspective drawing and proportion. With the goal of strengthening our work we will talk about the benefits of drawing versus tracing and how we gain greater control over our composition. We will learn the key elements of strong compositions and apply them to our work.
Photo references will be provided, however, in this course, students are encouraged to bring their own photo reference and photos of previous work with the intention of building on their individual creative visions and/or styles.
This will be a hands on workshop and students will be supplied with the necessary materials to complete a 9” x 12” mosaic.
This class will also focus on color value and technical skills as they relate to mosaics.
