The 5th Season will include an online gallery and presentation at several regional in-person events!
REGISTRATION IS CURRENTLY OPEN!
One of SAMA’s most impactful programs for members is returning for its fifth season in 2024 with several exciting updates!
The result of our first four seasons of the One Hundred Moments in Mosaic Project was an amazing, non-juried collection of work representing the full spectrum of SAMA’s diverse membership. The work of seasoned professionals displayed alongside enthusiastic newcomers to the mosaic making process, culminated in over 100 moments of life rendered in mosaic by artists from all over the world. Viewers in Chicago, Boston, Nashville and Orlando were enthralled with the diversity and creativity of our passionate Members!
For 2024, we are planning a rolling exhibit that will travel to 3-5 destinations throughout the year. Our logistics team is hard at work finalizing the details of each presentation venue. Additional venues and dates for the Season 5 collection are still available, We are open to discussing possibilities with regional groups, art centers, libraries, universities and cultural centers who would like to feature this unique project.
We are inviting SAMA and SGAA Members to make a 6” x 6” work in either 2D mosaic, fused or soldered glass panel. You may select either a Mosaic Kit to include: one 6″ x 6″ EZframe and hanging hardware, or a Glass Panel Kit to include: pre-cut zinc framing and hanging hardware for a 6” x 6” soldered square. We are not limiting the number of participants but will restrict one panel per artist per display. Participation is exclusive to all active SAMA & SGAA Members.
The project will also be presented in an Online Gallery featuring each work and will include an opportunity for artists to sell their work directly from the SAMA website.
