2019 Nashville Cultural Tours
With so much to see, hear, taste and experience in Nashville, your biggest challenge is going to be finding time to fit it all in! Our Host committee has curated tours that showcase some of the best sites around town that are sure to delight anyone looking for a uniquely Nashville cultural experience!
Tour Registration will be available to Pre-Registrants during the Priority Access Period January 5 – 14, 2019 and will continue to be available for all registrants and guests after January 15, 2019.
Nashville Mosaic Art Tour
Wednesday, April 24, 2019, 8:00am to 5:00pm
$125 per person (includes lunch and entrance fees)
Visit the exquisite mosaics of Nashville on this tour. You’ll see mosaic installations by international artists Pedro Silva and Ben Shahn along with local artists Jairo Prado and our Host Committee Chairperson, Sherri Warner Hunter. Additionally, the tour will stop at the Nashville First Baptist Church to see amazing Dalle de Verre windows in the church sanctuary. Finally, no visit to Nashville for artists is complete without a stop at the Clay Lady Studios. With 60 artists in residency, Clay Lady Studios are a local learning mecca on ceramics. You’ll receive a guided tour of the entire complex.
This is an all-day tour. All venue entry fees and boxed lunch are included in the cost of the tour. Please plan to dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable and sensible shoes.
Uniquely Nashville Tour
Thursday, April 25, 2019, 8:00am to 5:00pm
$125 per person (includes lunch and entrance fees)
Join us to see all things Uniquely Nashville. Discover old southern charm with a stop at the Belle Meade Plantation. Learn more about how a plantation worked to become the premier American Thoroughbred Horse Farm, complimentary wine tasting included in your visit. Next, find out what makes Nashville the capital by visiting the Tennessee Centennial Capitol Mall State Park. Learn about the history of Tennessee becoming a state and the development of Nashville. You’ll visit the world famous Ryman Auditorium, known as the Mother Church of Country Music, for a backstage tour. Come and feel the musical magic and deep history of the theater. Additionally, you’ll see the Parthenon, an exact replica of the famous Greek building built for the 1897 Centennial Exposition and host of the 2019 Mosaic Arts International: Fine Art and One Hundred Moments in Mosaic Exhibitions. Finally, you will visit the Downtown Presbyterian Church, built in the 1850s in an Egyptian Revival style.
