Are you an artist or crafts person that wants to instruct other adults? To be an effective arts or crafts instructor, you need to hone your teaching skills. In this class, you learn how to design your classes so that students will rave about them – because they learned a lot and because you were organized. Foremost, you will design and sequence activities that ensure that students learn what you want them to learn! In addition, you will write a clear class description, create a syllabus or realistic agenda, and generate handouts. Too many students do not return to classes because they didn't learn what they expected to learn, the instructors were ill-prepared, or instructors were not prepared for students’ different skill levels. If you want to teach, this is a great place to start. If you already teach, this class formalizes some concepts for you.
