The Mosaic Marathon is an integral part of SAMA’s annual conference. In addition to workshops, presentations, and mosaic art tours during our conference, the Mosaic Marathon brings together our members for a unique opportunity to create a mosaic in a cooperative, networking experience. The Mosaic Marathon creates a lasting piece of art that is donated to a local charity in our host conference city. As a not-for-profit organization, this is an opportunity for SAMA to give back to the arts community and create a lasting reminder of the legacy of SAMA and its mission.
2018 Mosaic Marathon
The design and plan are approved for the Mosaic Marathon project, led by Cynthia Fisher! We are honored to prepare this work for Boston Harbor Now, to be installed at the Boston Harbor Islands Welcome Center, and once again, it is all made possible by our Mosaic Marathon Sponsors, Wits End Mosaic/Smalti.com, and Laticrete International! To sign up to work on the marathon, please email Marathon Volunteer Coordinator, Christine Kenneally. The Mosaic Marathon is open Tuesday, from 5pm-10pm, Wednesday and Thursday, from 8am-10pm.
